I just retro-actively posted progress drawings for the first of two wine labels I've done for Helluva Wines. I'm currently working in Photoshop to put together the second, Revelation Riesling, which features a hunky guy beckoning his wine-o friends (us) into heaven to keep the party going.
Here are a few images of the work in progress. As I mentioned in my last post, I hold them up to my computer's camera because the painting is taped to a big board, and is too messy to go into the scanner as I'm working on it. (Plus, it makes the end result look that much better.)
Again, I kept the illustration's components separate in case of revisions. Maybe purists don't mind throwing out entire paintings, or maybe they don't have to do revisions, but I do. Compiling separate pieces in Photoshop has saved my butt (and budget) on many occasions.
Here's the finished artwork, and the complete label (crossing fingers that the client likes it as much as I do!):

Welcome to the accountability area of my life, where I will be posting process sketches and other important stuff I let myself avoid when I'm "busy."
